For 2023, Cabrinha uses three different material blends in the struts and leading edge with unique properties. The Cabrinha Switchblade 2023 is designed with the Hybrid frame. The Hybrid frame is a combination of High Tenacity Dacron (HTD) & HTD Lite, giving the kite the stiffness it needs, but with an increased response. The canopy for the kite has been given a new refined lightweight canopy design that, together with the new ultralite bladders, reduces the weight of the entire kite and ensures more responsive performance. The fabric is made of Nano Ripstop fabric, which according to Cabrinha is the baseline for durability, stability, and responsiveness. This canopy consists of four times more squares per square centimeter than normal canopy. This makes the fabric stiffer, and the kite responds faster to steering movements. The bridle has been replaced for a bridle with much less stretch, giving you an even more direct feeling with the kite. During your jump or kiteloop you always feel exactly where the kite is in the wind window, making it easier to get your timing right.
